Position Description:

The associate is responsible for disassembly, clean-up, inspection and re-assembly of new and repaired pumps to include receiving in and properly tagging incoming repairs. Utilizes hand tools, small power tools, including lathes and polishers, and other special equipment to perform assigned job. Refers to technical drawings, such as blueprints, and follows written / oral directions. This person is also responsible for completing associated paperwork and computer orders associated with each task.

The regular schedule for this position is Monday through Friday, 6:00am to 2:30pm. Must be available to provide weekend coverage every third weekend, as needed, in addition to the regular schedule. Must also be available to work 1 week on nights, every 15 weeks (2:00pm-10:00pm Mon-Fri).

· When overtime is required during the regular work week, the schedule is:

o 10-hour day: 6:00am to 4:30 pm as needed

o 12-hour day: 5:00am to 5:00pm as needed

· Regular night shift available upon request (2:00pm-10:00pm Mon-Fri).

Job Functions

· Work safely in a manufacturing environment

· Tear down, inspect, and re-assembly of Pumps which includes:

o Ability to follow work instructions to include engineering specs, prints, and quality documents,

o Inspect parts to quality standards and disposition appropriately,

o Mechanical aptitude and ability to assemble various size components is required,

o Re-assemble Pump to print/drawing specifications

· Must follow tagging protocols

· Communicate finding to team and document in tracking system

· Select and utilize appropriate tools in a safe manner, manual dexterity is required

· Will be required to work with other support departments

· Perform necessary housekeeping and safety duties as required

· Ability to lift parts up to 50 pounds as required

· Lifting, bending, twisting of shoulders and use of arms in an outreaching position is required

· Standing and walking throughout the work area is required

· Perform all other duties as assigned

Position Requirements:

Education

High school diploma or GED is required

Experience/Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 – 5 years of mechanical assembly experience

  • Must have a strong mechanical aptitude

  • Must have excellent communication skills, both oral and written·Must be able to read, write, and interpret manuals and instructions

  • Must have ability to read and interpret drawings and prints

  • Must be able to work in a team environment

  • Ability to work overtime as required·Computer skills to include Microsoft office applications
