Job mandate

In line with our Aftermarket growth strategies, we are currently looking for candidates to fill the position of Supply Chain Manager Pump Parts, located in Etten-Leur, the Netherlands. This position will report into the Parts Manufacturing Center (PMC) in Etten-Leur. The PMC produces pump spare parts for end user customers, Pump QRCs and pump business units in EMA. The main growth of the business volume is expected to be achieved through expansion of the intercompany customer base.

This position is responsible for all buying activities of the PMC and S&R with a total purchasing volume of approximately 20M EUR. Since Etten-Leur is focused on creating one AMSS campus team for pump purchasing, this role will lead both the PMC supply chain team and the Service & Repair supply chain team. The main goal is to create one team that is responsible for all pump part sourcing (which includes bar stock, casting, forgings, buy outs, outsourced machining as well intercompany sourcing). This team will fully own our supply chain performance of pump parts, is responsive and communicates actively within the organization. In this role you are leading a team of approximately 8 buyers.

Position Requirements:

Key individual accountabilities and Objectives

§ Responsible for all buying decisions and partnering with Global Supply Chain as they rationalize our suppliers globally.

§ Responsible for PO processing against globally approved suppliers.

§ Responsible for improving supplier quality, on-time delivery and lead times, while reducing direct and indirect spend.

§ Drive clear roles and responsibilities in Supply Chain in tactical and operational areas with focus on continuous improvement of Supply Chain capability and efficiency.

§ Role-model Flowserve 2.0 values, behaviors and health practices. Provide strategic clarity to your stakeholders and team. Balance strategic, tactical and operational priorities.

§ Apply an enterprise approach within supply chain; Collaborate with other sites and functions to optimize delivery performance, quality and the financial impact of our total supply chain.

§ Actively partner with leadership in the Etten-Leur Campus and be a leader within the PMC management team.

§ Follow Flowserve Supply Chain policies and procedures to select suppliers and monitor their performance.

§ Be a stakeholder of the global ERP covering Supply Chain Processes

§ Set-up of Supply Chain KPIs and metrics. Regularly monitor, report and communicate on improvements in Supply Chain KPIs.

§ Improve our Supplier Quality Development process (including supplier auditing).

§ Drive talent excellence by attracting, motivating, aligning, developing and retaining the talent required for industry leading supply chain management.

Preferences:

Core competency level

§ A Bachelor’s degree is required, preferably in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering or Supply Chain

§ NEVI or equivalent education is preferred

§ Some years of management experience in a manufacturing/supply chain environment, preferably in industrial products. Demonstrated skills in managing and developing personnel. Strong leadership skills, leading people in a functional organization.

§ High energy level and a strong work ethic, with the ability to instill these characteristics in others. Must have a passion for quality, delivery, efficiency and cost

§ Extreme commitment and drive for Customer Responsiveness.

§ Have demonstrated experience in continuous improvement processes and tools.

§ Excellent analytical and strategic skills. Good business judgment and problem solving skills with solid economic, industry and competitive landscape insight. Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

§ Demonstrated capability to lead change and transformation activities, thereby generating process improvements which lead to greater effectiveness and efficiency.

§ Comfortable working with foreign business environments, values diversity and must have strong interpersonal skills and cultural sensitivity. Excellent written and oral communication skills.

§ Demonstrated ability to operate in a hands-on environment when necessary, yet see the big picture on a global basis.
