Position Description:

It is a Regional FinanceManager position that specializes in Revenue accounting, controls and processesfor manufacturing and sales offices in their region.


  1. Bachelor Degree in Accounting or Finance

  2. 5 - 7 years’ work experience in accounting role with exposure to month end close and reporting process, some supervisory experience required, ownership of key initiatives or projects a plus

  3. Experience within a large organization, manufacturing industry is highly desirable

  4. Experience with contract analysis and revenue accounting, including ability to read and interpret complex contractual terms and conditions

  5. Working knowledge of US GAAP and SOX regulations required, familiarity with new revenue standard ASC 606 is highly desirable

  6. Familiarity with shared services or multi-locational coordination and support a plus.

  7. Ability to work effectively within a matrix organizational structure, multi-task, and prioritize in high pressure, time-constrained situations

  8. Competence to work independently without supervision

  9. Strong comfort level with Windows and Microsoft Office products; extensive Excel 2016 knowledge including ability to manage and manipulate data to develop reports


  1. Excellent problem solving and critical thinking skills; ability to apply judgement and operate effectively in a decentralized and dynamic environment

  2. Project management competence with ability to monitor staff activities across multiple locations, issue clear directives, and develop processes that support organizational objectives

  3. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy, ability to package and present complex information in an effective and efficient manner

  4. Strong communication skills with proactive approach toward issue identification and resolution

  5. Travel varies but is higher during initial process setups and expected to be roughly 5-15% during steady-state

Position Requirements:

  1. Role will be primarily responsible for oversight of several Centers of Expertise (CoE) that provide contract analysis and POC accounting support to many other facilities within the region

  2. Role will initially support and help drive startup of the CoEs, including new process development, implementation issue resolution, and activity prioritization

  3. Monitor workload volume across multiple CoE locations, provide reporting to multiple levels within organization, and make recommendations for continuous structural improvement

  4. Responsible for coordination with Site and Regional Controllers to ensure CoE workload is completed timely, including identifying and elevating issues that may compromise deadlines

  5. Develop and implement processes to standardize CoE activities, ensure consistent documentation of contract analysis, share of best practices across different CoEs, and identify areas for improvement

  6. Track issues encountered by CoEs, develop tools to monitor performance, and prepare reporting to various internal stakeholders

  7. First level of elevation to resolve issue in contract review including unusual or ambiguous terms, policy questions, and judgmental areas through consultation with business leaders

  8. Ensure internal controls are in place and operating effectively across CoE

  9. Work with Site Controllers to monitor CoE staff performance, identify training and support needs, coaching team members, and provide periodic formal and informal feedback

  10. Identify additional review or support activities to increase value and comfort provided by CoE structure (e.g. Q&A with sites around cost estimates, analytics on POC margins, reconciliation to BPC, identifying POC process inconsistencies across sites, and other review practices or internal control checkpoints)

  11. Adhoc responsibilities as assigned by the Supervisor
